Im really pleased with a lot of these and would love them printed really large as a series, a few don't work as well with the others but overall I feel I have a handful of strong ones if paired together could work brilliantly. I would also like the diptych these alongside cityscapes created in the same process to make a great contrast. This I think I will try at a later date once I have done a shoot of Urban culture and experiment with the pairings. But overall I'm really happy with this shoot I have put black dots next to my favourites. I would like to hand-print these into a set as I feel this is a very important process for the work.

Re-visiting the Peak District

This week I took another trip to the Peak district this time with my medium format camera and a roll of black & white film. I revisited a few of the places from before as I really like the colour images  I got there and visited a few new areas, just exploring and stopping whenever I found a spot I liked. Due to it being a fairly overcast day a lot of the skies in these images are very flat however this hasn't bothered me to much and I'm really pleased with the outcomes.I tried to capture the beauty of the place alongside our small indents of urban culture on it. I've kept the boarders on for now as I like the effect it has especially with the light skies to avoid them bleeding onto the white background however when printing I think I will remove these.

Shoot 2

Eliot Dudik

These are pages from Eliot Dudiks book, I love how they are spread over two pages and although they are one image I like the idea of doing this with two images full bleed. Although the entire purpose of his wok is different to mine (his photographing american Civil war battlegrounds) I like the fullness of the frames and this is something i might try, consciously not including so much sky and focusing more a bit lower on the importsant parts as I feel the vast white space that can sometimes be found can be distracting. I also like the feel the color gives on this work and would like to maybe just try a few shoots in colour and digital to give me the freedom to experiment a bit more but this is something for a later date.

Adam Jeppesen

I've also found this artist below is a video run through of his book and under that are my favourite sets of prints from his website. I really love the softness in the landscapes and the sense of mystery with an eerie feeling. He also mixes between black and white and colour which i find refreshing as this can be frowned upon by some but I thinks its great because different mediums suit every image differently. I like the grid layout on the hung work also and is something I would certainly consider when exhibiting my work.
