The dominance of concrete

I've spent a lot of my shoots focusing on how urban and nature infringe on each others placements. I addressed the Peak district, a place of natural beauty focusing on the roads we have placed throughout, as well as the power lines and cars. I also explored the presence of nature in an urban environment  trees breaking through the pavements, and plants overgrowing the concrete structure we have placed over their home. It fascinates me that we rarely think about what was before. We go by our business in these concrete built up cities forgetting that nature once lived here.

Therefore I now wanted to capture the structures we have put in place, such cold concrete structures dominating over our trees, and plants. The huge structures we build just to park our cars, it's fascinating  Here are the results from this shoot, all shot on 120 film 6x4.5 negative.
